The village of Lacave in the Lot is located in the Causses de Gramat. Lacave is close to the villages of Rocamadour, Sarlat and Martel and not far from the Gouffre de Padirac. The village has 2 castles overlooking the river: the castle of Treyne, a listed monument, and the castle of Belcastel. You can visit the magnificent caves of Lacave. They can be visited on board a small electric train over a distance of 1600m. You will be dazzled by the sound and light effects which offer a magnificent spectacle in the bowels of the earth. You should allow 1h30 for the visit. This show will amaze young and old.

You can continue your visit by the fortified mill of Cougnaguet, registered as a historical monument and preserved in perfect condition. From April to September, it is possible to see demonstrations of its operation.

Finally, you can continue your visit to Lacave in the Lot with the Préhisto Dino park, a must-see place to discover dinosaurs and prehistoric reconstructions. The visit is free and lasts about 1 hour in a wooded park.
