Located in the old church in the historic centre of Sarlat, the covered market is a mecca for local gastronomy in the South West.
It highlights local products such as truffles, foie gras and walnuts. The truffle, emblematic product of the Périgord Noir, has its own wholesale market as well as the controlled market, reserved for private individuals. In mid-January, the truffle festival is organised in Sarlat to honour this noble product.
